“I’m hoping to make 2017 my first six-figure year.”
“Maybe, if things work out the way I am hoping, I’ll be where I want to be by this time next year.”
“I want to sell 25 spots in my new program, but I know that’s a lot.”
“I want to create a product in 2017, but we’ll see if I have the time ….”
This is what I have been hearing from clients, friends and family members who have been talking to me about their goals for 2017. There have been so many buts, we’ll sees and maybes that I am ready to pull my hair out (and my hair is too damn fabulous to be all over the bathroom floor).
Please stop robbing yourself of achieving your goal before you even set it!
Please stop tempering your language and ever-so-slightly shrinking your plans.
If you want it, go get it.
It really is as simple as that.
(You just have to actually want it, don’t just say you want it).
Do you know how you will achieve exactly what you want to achieve? By not quitting until it happens.
You will grab this goal by the horns and lead it to right where you want it. You will make mistakes. And then you will dust yourself off (quickly), learn from those mistakes and tweak accordingly. Then you’ll go right back out there and werk like your mama taught you. Werk like you know who the hell you are. Werk like you know you are capable of werking.
So set goals that you are that passionate about, that committed to and then you’ll know that it will happen (because you won’t stop until it does).
And then you can stop with all the maybe-if-hopefully-somedays.
This is the one thing I want you to know as you create your big, audacious and courageous 2017 plans:
It’s not up to chance.
It’s up to you.
So sit up straight and act like it. Take this life by the goddamn balls and show it who’s boss. Chance, is not the boss. Fortune, will not decide.
It’s your life.
You decide.
