2023 was a year of beginnings and endings. For Hello Seven and for me, personally.
In September, I celebrated my 13th year in business. It's strange (and beautiful) to witness just how things have changed since 2010. I started with ZERO, but craved abundance, freedom, empowerment, and joy. This year, I got to continue to see the fulfillment of those desires in quite a few tangible ways. I couldn’t have done it without my team and greater community. But most of all, I couldn’t have done it without believing in myself.
On a global scale, 2023 brought with it some exciting highs and heart-wrenching lows. It was the year of the “Barbenheimer” phenomenon and of Queen Bey’s Renaissance: The World Tour. (Y’all best believe I was vibing hard at her Nashville stop!) It was also the year of continued inflation, divisiveness, political unrest, devastation, and economic downturns.
We danced. We mourned. We laughed. We were outraged.
As we look back on 2023 as a whole, it’s rewarding to celebrate the highs and the wins of the year. We also recognize and reflect on the losses and lessons learned. It’s through this duality that we are able to grow, build, and evolve. It’s in the trenches where we lay the groundwork for the magic and the grit for the years to come.
Here are a few highlights from 2023.
ROI: The Millionaire Summit became THE place for entrepreneurs to start their year.
We dreamed it, and we did it! Hello Seven’s first full-scale conference, ROI: The Millionaire Summit, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in January 2023. Based on feedback from hundreds of attendees, ROI ‘23 was the turning point for entrepreneurs who needed a game-changing mindset shift, direction, and a Million Dollar Squad. 99% of attendees said they would come again! We’re so proud that people felt seen, heard, celebrated, and inspired to believe in their Million Dollar Visions. That was the goal.
Another goal? To make an impact through our Hello Seven Foundation. We made a surprise donation to a holistic perinatal health center in Puerto Rico, Centro MAM. Moments before we brought them an oversized check to surprise them with a $25,000 donation on the mainstage, I decided to double it.
So we did. Right there on stage. $25,000 turned into $50,000. It was a proud moment for me and my team. And Centro MAM was able to utilize those funds to open the FIRST birth center in Puerto Rico! It was the perfect ending to a brilliantly uplifting conference.
After ROI, nearly 1,000 folks from our community expanded their skill sets and made bigger plans for the next year. And many made Million Dollar Decisions that changed the trajectory of their lives and businesses. Here’s what some participants had to say:

We're revolutionizing the coaching industry.
The biggest programming we revealed this year was the first cohort of The Hello Seven Coach Certification: a nine month coach training and development program. In January, we asked — “Do you want to help people set financial goals and achieve them?” “Do you want to learn a highly marketable skill that can make you a millionaire?” “Do you want to get paid to change lives, families, and communities?”
This program blossomed from our continued passion and desire to help historically excluded people gain more prosperity and power. We recognize that as long as a wealth gap exists, we will never have true equity, justice, and fairness in the world. And in order to reach more people, and create greater change — we need more coaches, diverse coaches driven by strong values and a big heart. The Hello Seven Coach Certification exists to create not only more coaches but coaches who meet the Hello Seven standard of excellence — centering the experience of those who are not typically centered in life or business.
Seeing The Hello Seven Coach Certification come to fruition and take on a life of its own was an incredibly rewarding and emotional experience for me. Our Cadets (that’s what we call Hello Seven Coaches who are in training and not yet certified) fearlessly committed week after week to learn, grow, and strengthen their coaching muscles. Our team learned a lot in the process as well. We built a rigorous curriculum, created training videos, worksheets, and a textbook for 26 weeks of learning, hosted weekly practice coaching calls with Cadets, and threw an unforgettable 4-day intensive event in Atlanta.
We had 109 participants successfully complete the extensive program and receive certification. At ROI 2024, we cheered and shed happy tears getting to see 109 newly minted Certified Hello Seven Coaches walk across the stage at their graduation ceremony.
This first cohort far exceeded our expectations. It was enthralling and fulfilling and honestly… we can’t wait to do it again, and again, and again!
We Served Our Growing Audience with Amazing Content.
I had an epiphany mid-year about ways to deliver free, high-quality content while growing our amazing audience. With this idea, we birthed the latest newsletter, Shmoney. A weekly series sharing insights on getting rich and staying rich.
And then, to say ‘THANK YOU’ for the wild success of Shmoney, we wanted to give MORE, and added a Wednesday Quick Tip. We hope you’ve been loving it! If you haven’t signed up yet, do so here. It’s free!
I also decided to join forces with my friend Nathan Barry for a new podcast, Billion Dollar Creator. We chose to begin this podcast with a multi city tour — taking the podcast on the road to build it with community at the forefront. We traveled to New York, New Orleans, Austin, LA, Nashville, and more to chat with some of the nation’s leading minds in content creation. It was a blast!
While I have decided not to continue to co-host this podcast in 2024 (I am pulling back on this project to focus on pursuing some other things, including rest), it was certainly one of the highlights of my year to have deep, meaningful conversations with Nathan and so many incredible entrepreneurs.
But the conversations aren’t stopping! In 2023, we recorded some amazing episodes for the Hello Seven Podcast.

We told our stories, and spilled the tea on how to secure amazing press opportunities, book deals, and build a powerful personal brand.
We Made A Lot of Money (and Grew Our Team in the Process)!
I’m proud of the astronomical year we had as a team, as a community, and as a whole at Hello Seven. We celebrated our third 8-figure year, in the midst of an economic downturn, AND we continued helping our clients make a lot of money. On top of that, we were recognized by the Inc. 5000 for the third consecutive year with over 550% growth over the last 3 years!

- Served more than 2,000 clients in We Should All Be Millionaires: The Club.
- Trained nearly 150 clients to become a Hello Seven Certified Coach.
- Guided 19 amazing Mastermind clients to higher revenue heights.
- We hosted 7 in-person events in 2023… phew! That was a lot of work but also a lot of life changing magic!
- Locked in thousands of Make Money Moves Challenge participants.
- Coached clients to double their prices, set Million Dollar Mindsets, and achieve their financial goals faster.
- Reached over 200,000 folks through our newsletters, social media, podcasts, books, and more!
In a year where companies were laying off and slimming down their staff, at Hello Seven, we were expanding and investing in our team. We focused on developing and aligning our leadership team, promoted from within to well-deserved key team members, and brought talented new faces into the fold to help us grow and execute into 2024.
Oh. And on a Personal Note…
Planning the first ROI: The Millionaire Summit in Puerto Rico sparked something in me and my family. A colorful excitement we couldn’t contain. It was unexpected, especially after fulfilling our ambition to renovate our dream home and live the Rodgers Ranch life (I even had a whole logo and Instagram account!).
It seemed bananas to leave our home that we thought would be our forever home, but the result has been nothing but abundant. Plus… bananas grow here! The people, language, celebratory culture, and incredible climate in Puerto Rico has me hooked. And it’s the perfect backdrop as I finish up my latest book (can’t wait for you to read it!).
I also experienced two major losses in my family. I lost my cousin to cancer. He was my twin growing up. He was only 41 years old (the same age as me) and one of the kindest people I knew. It was and is a devastating loss. Later in the year, my sister-in-law passed suddenly at 49 years old. She spent time at my house every week, was my biggest cheerleader and that “show up” family member who came to everything to support me. I am still grieving these shocking losses. I am no stranger to grief. My father died when I was only 12 years old. Grief changes a person. I am not the same person I was when 2023 started. I am far more focused on what matters: time with my loved ones, experiencing every moment of joy with them that I can and doing work that changes the world for the better. The little things can’t bother me. I am far too aware of what really matters now.
Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024.
2023 will go down as an unbelievably challenging year that changed me as a person.
In Hello Seven’s history books, it will be known as the start of a new era. As a company, we bloomed out of the pandemic, got back out there, and met our community face-to-face again.
In 2024, we’re doing lots more of that, while applying everything we learned. In her viral New Year’s video, TV and film maven (and President Barbie) Issa Rae held up a glass and affirmed:
“Next year, I’m about to be so much better.
That text, responded to.
That email, answered.
That project, finished.
That other project, started.
That book, read…
That problem, not mine!
Cheers to a much better 2024.”
