6 Tips for Coming Up with a Clever, Trademarkable Name That Doesn't Suck

Hey there, Hot Pants.
I have some alarming news for you. You are making a very big mistake.
BIG.
HUGE, even.
This mistake is costing you money and leaving your business and brand vulnerable to legal issues.

What major faux pas have you committed?

Its about your name.
It sucks.
Yes, the name of your business, your products and your services. They all suck. They're horribly obvious, boring and descriptive. They do nothing to express who you are, what you're about and what you stand for. These are the things customers demand to know before they will even consider doing business with you.
So you have to stop dialing it in when it comes to your brand names. You've got to put some effort in to come up with a name that is uniquely you. And you know what's great about a name that is uniquely you? Its trademarkable (FYI, that's not a real word but I like it so we're going with it).

Trademarkability (also not a word) is incredibly important to protect your brand and prevent competitors from using your taglines, product names and business name causing confusion in the marketplace and diluting the character and quality of your brand.

In this episode of Rachel Rodgers TV, I give you six tips (yeah, six! I'm feeling generous) to come up with a strong, trademarkable name. I also share my journey from sucky name to killer brand. I even get a little ranty. Good times!
